The case for steel
Why choose metal roofing?
Metal roofing is an investment in your property's longevity, offering superior protection against the elements. Whether you want peace of mind as a homeowner or cost-effective sustainability as a business owner, our panels deliver on every front.
- 01
Lifetime roofing solution
A metal roof will last your lifetime without needing repair or replacement — unlike shingles, which need replacing about every 10 to 12 years.
- 02
Environmentally friendly
Metal roofs are made from recycled metal and are fully recyclable in future. Shingles end up right in the landfill.
- 03
More energy efficient
Heating and cooling costs come down compared with shingles, and the risk of mould in your attic is eliminated.
- 04
True-north strong
Far stronger than shingles. It withstands extreme snow, rain, wind and hail, and will not suffer from ice dams.
- 05
Increases your home's value
A sound investment that adds appeal — and value. Future buyers will like that the roof never needs replacing.
- 06

About Rudan
A family business, ten years on Toronto roofs
Rudan is a family business that has spent over ten years helping Toronto homeowners and businesses keep their properties looking and performing well.
We use high-quality, sustainable Canadian materials, and we are committed to premium service and workmanship at a fair price. The panel that goes on your roof is rolled on our own line rather than bought in and marked up — which is why we can cut it to length, match a discontinued profile, and colour-match trim to field panel from a single coil.
Happy customers are our best form of advertising. That is not a slogan about quality so much as an admission: we would rather talk someone out of the wrong profile than sell it to them and hear about it in four years.
It's not about striving to be the best, but about making a positive impact in the world one community at a time.

Installing a metal roof — the right way
We have produced a full video detailing the steps necessary to install your metal roof properly — underlayment, fastener pattern, and the detailing at valleys, chimneys and eaves that decides whether a roof lasts fifty years or leaks in five.

Authorized dealers
Fitted by crews who do it every week
We roll the panel. Installation is arranged through our authorized dealers — roofers who fit our profiles often enough to know how each one details at a valley, a chimney and an eave.

FAQs
Got questions?
We have the answers
Still unsure after this? Call the shop. We would rather talk you out of the wrong panel than sell it to you.
(416) 299-8586How long do metal roofs last?
Metal roofs are designed to last 40 to 70 years, depending on the material.
Are metal roofs noisy?
When properly installed, metal roofs can be quieter than asphalt shingle roofs. The drumming people remember comes from panel fixed to open purlins on a barn or shed, with nothing underneath to absorb it.
Will a metal roof fit the style of my home?
Absolutely. Our panels come in a variety of styles to complement any home or building design — pressed tile profiles that read as traditional tile from the street, and long panels with clean vertical lines for contemporary builds.
Can it go over my existing shingles?
Trapeze is the profile rated for it. Installing over the existing roof removes the tear-off day, the disposal bin and the risk of an open deck sitting through weather. Whether it suits your roof depends on the condition of what is already up there, which is an inspection question rather than a catalogue one.
Do you install, or only supply the panel?
Both. Material can be bought directly, including as a Roof on a Pallet for anyone installing it themselves. Full installation is arranged through our authorized dealers — crews who fit our profiles every week.
What is the panel actually made of?
G90 275 zinc-coated steel, finished in a matte coating chosen for abrasion and corrosion resistance. Roof on a Pallet panel carries a 55-year warranty.
